Jodi Hays’ works are included in numerous private and public collections, including those of the J. Crew Company (NY), Tennessee State Museum, Nashville International Airport, Gordon College, among others. Hays is the recipient of several merit-based fellowships and grants including from the Sustainable Arts Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission (Individual Artist Fellowship) and the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation. She has been invited to participate in prestigious residencies including those at the Cooper Union, Vermont Studio Center, and the National Parks of America and has been published in Studio Visit Magazine (Open Studios Press), among others.
Her curatorial collaborations include projects with countless artists-- William Pope L., Hank Willis Thomas, Carl Pope, Shaun Leonardo, Jane Fox Hipple, Aisha Cousins, and Timothy Portlock and Jessica Ingram, to name a few. She received her M.F.A from Vermont College, her B.F.A. from The University of Tennessee and studied Foundations at School of Visual Arts (SVA-Savannah). She lived in Boston for some time, and moved to East Nashville in 2005 where she lives with and maintains her DADU, a pop-up gallery.
